When I am not working, I have a wide range of interests I enjoy doing. Such as shopping, I can shop for hours and hours. I like shopping at TJmaxx, Marshalls and Ross. If you ever been at any of these stores, then you know once you go in its hard to get out! I also enjoy dancing! I go dancing with my fiancé almost every weekend. We love Lineback dancing even though we can't dance for the life us! I also enjoy photography, I take photos for family, friends and babies. One of my biggest pet peeves are loud noises. My ears are very sensitive and can hear everything. Can you imagine when I go to concerts how my ears feel afterwards? Good thing I don't go to concerts!Welcome to my first blog post! My name is Lisette, but you can call me Lis! I am 22 years old, and I feel incredibly old starting college so late. But as Rebecca Klein-Collins would say, “Going back to college as an adult is not easy, but it doesn’t need to be impossible.” —from Chapter One of Never Too Late. It. - It is 'Never Too Late,' Finally, A Guide for Adults Going to College (educatorsinc.org) I am really happy to start school again, I thought this would have been impossible. I am excited for the journey that is to come! I aspire to be a Surgical Technologist in a surgery center. I have always had a strong passion for helping patients, I currently work in the medical field which is how I first learned of surgical technologists. When I first started, I had no desire whatsoever to work on the clinical side but as more years have passed; I've had experience working with patients one on one and realized it's best for me to work alongside clinicians to help patients during surgery.
I hope you all enjoyed my first blog and got to know me a little better! I am excited to meet you all and see what your interests are! Good luck to all, I hope we all pass English 101!
Hi Lis! Thank you for that quote by Rebecca Klein-Collins. I am also starting/going back to school at 23 years old, but I believe this is one of the best decisions you have made for yourself. And to be a surgical technologist is not easy, I've heard, but I applaud you for putting in the hard work.
ReplyDeleteI love how personalized your page is and how the colors blend. I look forward to working with you this semester. Good luck on your journey.
