What is my opinion on blogs? Well first let start with what a blog is. A blog is a webpage that can contain personal or informational material for a target audience. They range from all sorts of information and entertainment such as “learning how to send an email” to “apartment therapy “. Isn’t it interesting how uniquely different blogging can be? We get to explore writing from different styles, tones, and formats. My opinion on blogs is neutral, I neither dislike or like a blog. I believe it can be a great strategy to market an item and make income but, can also be tedious and stressful to the writer.
As I was reading and looking through blogs, I found one blog
that I enjoyed At Home With
Natalie – Celebrate Motherhood. Her format and style of the blog is what
really stood out to me. On this blog she uses more of a casual/ professional type
of format blog. She speaks about personal topics while still providing supporting
details. I enjoyed her topic about motherhood and how she states it’s her main
source of income. Which I think is great! You get to give your advice on
motherhood and get paid for it? Now that’s a job I would love!
Another blog I was reading through was Home | Smart Passive Income, I
did not enjoy this blog as much. The format is much more professional. In my opinion
I don’t want to “start my own business”. You’re probably asking yourself “who doesn’t
want to become their own boss someday?” well I don’t, it’s hard enough work every
day! And honestly, I don’t have a passion for anything. That would make things difficult
if I didn’t love what I was doing every day. I think this blog can be very
useful to readers looking to become an entrepreneur or are even passionate
about something that they would like to do on their own someday.
Although I did not like Pat Flynn’s professional blog, I thoroughly
enjoyed ProBlogger - Blog Tips to Help You
Make Money Blogging, which is another format of professional/ casual blogging.
Its purpose is to give his tips and tricks while informing reader on all
different topics regarding the blogging world. He states in his ProBlogger site
“Whether you’re new to blogging or you’ve been running your blog for a while,
the time commitment can be really overwhelming. Just getting one post published
each week can be a struggle, especially if you’re focused on producing high-quality
long form content. ” which proves in my first paragraph that writing a
blog can be tedious and stressful!
In conclusion, my feelings on blogging are neutral. I neither
dislike or like blogging. I guess it depends on what the blog is meant for in a
way for me to truly have an opinion on it. It can be for educating and
inspiring your audience or can be used to improve your writing skills. I hope
to achieve a all this is my blogs. I hope you enjoyed my opinion on blogs! Thank
you for reading.
Hi Lisette! I feel the same way about blogs, I am also pretty neutral about blogs and what they're about. I had never heard of "At Home with Natalie," her blog looks very welcoming. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on her page and I look forward to reading more of your work. Good luck!

Hello! I agree with your point on how writing a blog can be overwhelming and stressful. I don't know how professional bloggers do it. To always be having to think of new things to write about all the time - it'd get tiring. I love your thoughts, you organized them so well!
ReplyDeleteHello Lisette! I agree with you and Madonna that blogs can somewhat be overwhelming in the amount of information some of them have. It is quite a unique skill to have for sure. Also, nice work with your organization and picture choice, it helped everything flow nicely. Good luck in the future!
ReplyDeleteHi, Lisette, I checked the “At Home With Natalie- Celebrate Motherhood” blog and I can agree that her blog stands out. It has a very nice and clean look. I think that, amazingly, blogging is her main source of income, it just shows her hard work and commitment. I do like that you share that you have a neutral outlook on blogs.
